Project Overview

The Queen Elizabeth Power Station Expansion project involved the conversion of the existing three H-25 gas turbines and generators at Plant D into combined cycle operation. This was accomplished by adding three additional H-25 35MW class gas turbines, one steam turbine and six once-through steam turbine generators.

The conversion and repowering added an additional 205MW of electrical capacity to electrical production.
