2022 SAFETY AWARD

We are honored to have been awarded the 2022 Safety Award from the CEPA Foundation. Each year the CEPA Foundation recognizes some of the most outstanding members in the pipeline industry for their performance in the categories of Quality, Innovation, Safety, and Outstanding Contributions.

Trans Mountain nominated Strike Group due to our Fort Saskatchewan Electrical & Instrumentation office’s use of a ‘Lesson’s Learned’ template as part of the duration and closeout of every project. Once a project is complete any learnings are captured and added to a master Lesson’s Learned document that encompasses all of our growth. The master document is reviewed prior to the start of each new project to ensure that we are enacting our learnings from any previous projects and can focus on continual improvement – especially when it comes to safety, but also in all aspects of our work. Although this idea isn’t revolutionary there is genius in the simplicity of these actions. They prevent our team from repeating the same mistakes, help to advance the safety of our team, and progress our team forward.

At Strike, we use our company values to guide how we will behave and what we believe in. Within our values, we would like to highlight “ensure every employee comes home safe” and “strike to continually improve”. As a construction company that provides services to the energy sector, we believe safety to be our top priority. We know that the families of our employees put their trust in us, and we want to ensure that we live up to the expectation to bring their loved ones home safe at the end of each workday. The use of a Lesson’s Learned template is only one of the many programs that we have implemented at Strike to continually improve our safety.
